I found the hardest thing to do was marketing and promoting individual sites. For example, not only did I have to register for a bunch of directory websites to submit my link, but sometimes I had to repeat the process and do that for each blog… painful.
I totally agree, but when you’re serious about a network, i.e. ready to invest some money, you can be pretty successful with networks as well. You can hire qualified, reliable people, buy unique templates etc. That requires a lot of money, but when your blogs settle in and get a steady flow of visitors, you should recover your investment in 1, 2 years max.
Agreed with you Puiu. The problem is that most of the guys who are after such things are not willing to pay: imagine they host them on blogspot. And many don’t consider 1-2 years. They want to earn money NOW or even yesterday if possible

Not a bad idea and you could always host on a reseller hosting account.

I agree with you .. when you have more sites a reseller account is the best bet. I also use it. Way better than free hosted sites, that’s for sure

Oh yeah .. the pain of having many sites. I just feel dizzy when I come to promoting my 20 sites. It’s a lot of work, that’s for sure
