  I looked at your kit, and, I would have to agree. It is part of an overall strategy of internet marketing. It doesn’t hurt when you have good natural search rankings of course. Blogs can help, paying for ads can help, links from manufacturers can help, links from directories and industry sites can help, etc.

  But, it DOES make you look like a larger, more professional company. As a distributor for Talkswitch small business phone systems, one of the reasons small business buys this product is just that, image. Many small businesses fly by the seat of their pants with phone systems, most have none. They simply fail to realize in many cases how this impacts the perception of their company. Often, people KNOW they are dealing with a very small company.

  Also, since all you have is a ZIP file (for instance) other non-tech-savvy people won’t have to worry if they’ve got the right formats and that they’ve gotten everything when they send the kit to a prospective client.
