Fist of all I make the layout in Photoshop CS2 and than I code it manually in Adobe Dreamweaver.
Is there a way to make the coding of a psd in dreamweaver automatic :| ? |

You can have some slicing done in this way, but most of the time it's advisable to not automate this. When coding, we need to think about how to make the code as light as possible (prefferably div only) and the best way is to plan the slicing on your own.

That is right. Creating web pages, having less and less HTML codes is preferred. It is now recommended doing most of the alignments and decorations through the CSS text files just outside of the web pages.

I usually make a layout and images in Photoshop, and then I manually code the page and CSS using Dreamweaver. Finally I use SmartFTP to upload all my files.

Photoshop CS3, Notepad++, Total Commander, XAMP (as a server), Gimp and sometimes Linux.

I started off trying Kompozer. When I ran into the problem of positioning my images I searched and discovered CSS. Yeah I'm new
. Then I found Notepad2 and now use it for coding. I originally started with a 3 column fluid layout I downloaded changed it up to suit me.I use Gimp (raster) and Inkscape (vector) for the graphics. Filezilla for ftp. Kompozer I still use for spell checking. That may change since I noticed it occasionally changes my coding .

Do you use Windows or Linux? On Linux there are some nice tools like BlueFish, Quanta or Scream and others. For Gimp I recommend www.gimper.net a good site for tutorials and help. I also use a lot Notepad++ and I think it's one of the best and Scite some times.

I am using windows xp at least until it dies in a few years. I may go linux then. I don't want vista or to have to spend more money to keep an os on my computer.
I thought of downloading some form of linux but I have dialup. That would take a long time.
