The future of webdesign trend is surely designing for mobile community as more and more netizens are accessing through the mobile sites. So the next big thing is designing for mobile sites. so the future of web design trends seems to be the mobile sites.

I think it's interesting that the iphone and other smart phones have dictated the way web designers build web sites. I'm always using my iphone to access sites when I'm not at a computer and I hate it when a site isn't optimized for mobile or even worse is built in Flash. It's funny how Flash was so popular about 4 years ago before the boom in popularity of the iphone but now most people tend to steer clear of it since it can't be accessed via the iphone.

I use the Opera mini broswer on my mobile phone and it works every well. Great for checking the football scores
- The only issue at present with mobiles is the time it takes to load a website, I have a 3G connection on my mobile and its still takes a while to load a site. I hope the mobile networks speed up soon which will improve the web browsing on mobile phones.....

I think mobile sites come next to computer sites in the future.. The only thing is mobile sites are in a smaller scale.! But i hope the time comes when people could earn money from their mobile phone through these mobile sites.. Great Innovation.!

I have seen some of my sites on mobile phones. I don't have mobile friendly designs and still they displayed OK. I don't think I'd bother too much anymore

I believe that if any mobile browser is to "set the standards", it'll be Opera Mini. I'm a *huge* Opera fan myself, and live by their upgrades :P
I see the web moving forward with mobile development, but I think that apps will replace mobile web in most cases. In the old days you had to go to a site to gather news, these days you click an app and BAM, it's there in your hand. |

With the explosion of smart phones with huge screens, I don't see mobile-specific styles sticking around. I would rather view a whole site than a mobile site style on my Droid. In fact, the Skyfire browser I use, I always choose the desktop view on sites I visit as opposed to mobile view.

He he, kinda agree. And I am too lazy to design mobile ready themes. The good thing is the "toys' I've had in my hands were able to display my sites pretty decent. No need to worry now

There's always the need to improve, change and adapt in this ever-changing world. Mobiles are just the next best thing!
