I don't recommend this either. I've closed a few web sites because I couldn't be bothered with the functionality and it being disabled. I had one client request it, but I suggested avoiding it because of most of the reasons stated above.

Despite that they still wanted it because they figured it would stop the average user from taking photos. It makes you wonder out of all web users, as simple as it is to get around, what percentage of them actually know how to do this.

its been a long time since I havent visited pages like this, but I think looking at the source code works. After all, just remove all the <p> tags!

Actually, I couldn't care less if someone would 'steal' my images. I'd clearly mention that they're released under creative commons, and can thereby be freely used and modified. I believe in this kind of freedom. I would be credited and I would use a noncommercial license so I can't get abused. This one. If anyone doesn't follow the conditions, I can hold this license against them. Licensing your images and/or watermarking them is the only right way to avoid people from stealing them. Disabling right-click makes your website unsuccessful.

Gamesandmore's is right saying how can we put keyboards on check. Right clicks might be blocked but blocking keyboard-access is probably difficult so far.

I'd never do that. I need that on my site myself And people would use things such as printscreen etc.

If you want to protect your pictures you can create a see-through layer and put it on top of the picture. That way when they save the image, they only get a blank picture.
