Default Disabling right click

So .. some already used this ... disable right clicking in order to prevent others steal from you images and texts. Have you tried it? Do you think this method is a good one? Or ..

Right clicking... if you are clever enough you know how to steal them in other ways. If you really want people not to steal your images you have to watermark them. Also I hate it not being able to right click. It is my privilege as a loyal web surfer to be able to click in anyway I want!

Or you can just look in your temporary internet files.

Thus no need for disabling the right click.

Also, when a page is saved, you get the images too.
Or you can go to Extra in Firefox and then... page info or something. There is a tab called media.

That disables some important browser functionality such as copying URL or opening URL in new tab. Stealing images is very easy, either from browser cache or from doing simple Alt+PrintScreen screenshot or by disabling Javascript. That might help against theft by casual visitor but not by another webmaster, and I don't advise such 'protection'.

Indeed, people can use print screens or just save pages

Still for some "uneducated" surfers these tricks work

I once used this function on one of my sites but it annoys more than anything with all the pop ups opening and it does not actually sort out the problem, It moves it or changes it but in the web you can easily get the image without right click so their is no point.

In my wannabe-period I was searching al sorts of un-usefull protection : unescaping, disable right click, disabling the keyaboard(!!) And many more things.

But you have to know that now a days a lot of people already have disabled those javascript code.

How do you disable the keyboard? I went through the same stage as you, funny in some way how everyone starts like that!
