Anti-spam measures for phpBB

O have read a very good topic on phpBB: about what mods to install to fight spam ...

On a second note: consider also upgrading phpBB to the latest version (I have some older versions that are more targeted than my forums on 2.0.21). And it looks like one of my sites doesn't get the spam since it's got the Profile control Panel installed and spambots don't quite like it

THANKS DOJO! That's just what I needed, I get A LOT of spammers.

I need to install some of these beauties to discourage my "friends" .. glad you found it useful. Let me know how many spammers did you discourage this way

I installed the humanizer on a heavily spammed board and it seems it's better. Will install others too .. I think I'll kinda calm down those "nice" people

Great post thanks. I'd re-installed my forum and before I had time to do anything else, viagra spam appeared!

I just installed HUMANIZER in all my phpBB forums. I already have some more "peace" in there. Will install some more security hacks. Can't get enough of installing mods

I have kind of went overboard on the mods too. I really enjoy seeing how they work once I get it installed. It's loads of fun. I would have a hard time listing them all. Now I need to spend some time on the actual community-building part that has seemed to slow down lately.
